Continuing Education
The University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work is excited to announce the integration of the VanKirk Career Center and our continuing education (CE) offerings into a unified initiative led by Michele Gordon, who joined us in November 2024 as the new director of career services and continuing education. This strategic role will focus on creating a seamless pathway for engagement, learning, networking, and mentorship within our community.
As part of this effort, the school is actively working to implement insights gathered from comprehensive internal assessments, including listening sessions and surveys conducted with alumni and students. These findings will inform the development of innovative programming and strengthen collaborative opportunities to continue to support our students and alumni throughout their career journeys.
On top of combining these efforts and building upon the strong foundation created, we will continue to provide live, virtual, and asynchronous CE course options for licensed professionals to obtain their necessary CE hours in the way that is most convenient for them.
